Thursday 26th GRC Meeting
6:00pm (optional) dinner 7:00pm meeting @ Heartland Diner across from Post Office in Gettysburg
Speaker is Dr. Kate Baldwin, DVM, MS Learn More
Dr. Kate Baldwin, TreeHorse Veterinary Services, Inc. is a one doctor ambulatory practice that strives to provide affordable and personalized veterinary care to the underserved areas of south-central PA. TreeHorse is tightly linked with Maryland Equine Dental, Inc. Over the years, we have seen, on a daily basis, the great need for mobile veterinary services in our area of south central PA. This is what pushed Dr. Kate to apply to vet school, to come back to PA and to open TreeHorse Veterinary Services, Inc. in 2017. Since then, the practice has grown and evolved into a most equine medicine practice while also providing low cost spay/neuter for cats. Dr. Kate is an endurance rider and competes regularly. She knows how to keep horses healthy, sound, and perform at their best!

Speaker is Lauren Garrett-Bond- Saddle fitter Learn More
Lauren Garrett-Bond started riding at the age of 7 and has never looked back. After her career as a teacher in emergency response and disaster management, Lauren went on to become a bench saddler; building and repairing saddles and tack in Maryland, before traveling to the UK and Germany for additional training. Lauren is now a certified saddle fitter and saddler and worked independently as the owner of Mid Atlantic Saddlery and Tack Repairs. She has several brands of saddles that she has designed and does repairs and sales for 6 others. Lauren’s approach to saddles and tack is to start with the science of the saddle tree, and then ask the horse. Lauren still rides, her two OTTBs, as often as her schedule allows
