About our Shows

Gettysburg Riding Club hosts several of the Blue & Gray Circuit Shows. We are a member and division sponsor of the Colonial Classic Horse Show.

Shows start at 8:00 a.m.   DOUBLE POINT SHOW WILL START AT 7:30.  Classes for everyone from the beginner, lead line, pleasure, or equitation rider to the experienced horse and rider. Classes are on the flat as well as over fences. Most divisions have a choice of fence height. Each show offers a 'special class' to add challenge or just plain fun. Ribbons to 6th place and prizes for Champion and Reserve. End of year points are tracked to earn perpetual trophies, gift cards, and larger prizes. A Downloadable class list is available at bluegrayhorseshows.com.

Gettysburg Riding Club is a charitable organization that donates the majority of its proceeds to local causes.

One of our beneficiaries is the Shining Stars Therapeutic Riding Program. In 2013, our club hosted our first benefit show for Shining Stars and it continues to be an annual event!  These shows offer English, Western, gaming, and fun classes such as dollar bareback, egg/spoon, and costume class. You may ride your English horse in the speed classes as well as your Western horse in the jumping classes.  It's a fun day for all. Go to link below for class list or contact grchorsepark@gmail.com

We follow the USEF Rules including the requirement of a negative Coggins test within the last year and documentation of the EIV (Influenza) and EHV (Rhino pneumonitis) vaccinations within 6 months for ALL horses entering the showgrounds.
